MASTERCLASS: From Script to Set with Mia Bible & Chris Lawing 5:30-6:30 PM | Networking from 6:30-9PM
This is a rare opportunity to learn from two working filmmakers actively bringing stories from page to production, navigating the real path from script to set.
Featuring Mia Bible: Award-winning actor, writer, and producer whose work spans narrative film, television, and documentary. Her short film HONORABLE earned international recognition and a Best Short Film award, while her production work includes projects with ESPN+, Hulu, and The CW. A St. Louis creative force, Mia is also the founder of initiatives that expand visibility and opportunity for Black artists and production crews.
Featuring Chris Lawing: Award-winning director, editor, and cinematographer with over 25 years of experience across film, television, and commercial production. His career includes work on projects like Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. and numerous broadcast productions, as well as writing and directing feature films including Penitentia and Greg’s Going to Rehab. Through his company, Mercury Films, Chris has built a body of work that blends cinematic storytelling with real-world production expertise.
Together, they’ll break down the first steps of transforming a screenplay into a living, breathing production, moving from words on a page to people, places, and things.
Bring a friend and join us for an evening of conversation, connection, and creative ignition.
