Antonio Douthit-Boyd didn’t have it easy, but easy doesn’t build someone like Antonio Douthit-Boyd. Born in North St. Louis to a mother who struggled to raise her family amidst her own personal battles, only one thing was certain: he wanted to dance. His passion was at odds with his surroundings, but he found his way to classes in the furthest reaches of the county. His determination ultimately landing a scholarship at the San Francisco Ballet for a summer intensive, where his love of dance finally found footing and ignited a career that just keeps expanding.

A former dancer at the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and currently the Co-Artistic Director of Dance at COCA (Center of Creative Arts ), Antonio credits everything to dance: his self-motivation, his discipline, his life. Dance gives him purpose, connection, and currently, a conduit to flow his passion and drive into a new generation of dancers.
